Jason Rinehart of HartLight Photography in Botetourt County, Virginia is a modern day painter of light. Move over, Thomas Kinkade. Rinehart and his brand HartLight have a coveted Guinness Book of World Records claim for light painting (see the first video below).
I’ve been following Jason on Instagram for several years and he’s created some real stunners. Most of my personal favorites are his landscapes, including views from the Blue Ridge Parkway, “America’s Favorite Drive.” The majority of Jason’s work includes scenes from around Virginia’s Blue Ridge, including Botetourt, Rockbridge, Roanoke, and down into Southwest Virginia.
